Boxoft WMA to WAV Converter (freeware) is a free batch audio converter. It only supports conversion of files between WMA and WAV files and only to WAV files, not from WAV files. The application has three different modes. The most simple one allows you to simply add files to convert them to WAV. You can add as many as you want and convert them all automatically one after the other (batch mode). The application comes with a sample WMA file but it isn't of good quality. I tested it with my own file and it was converted to WAV just fine, conserving quality.
The second mode and perhaps the most interesting one is called "Hot Directories Mode". What this basically does is converts files that are placed on a specified directory to WAV automatically, and then puts those files into another, specified directory. This is great for web servers through which users upload files. There probably are lots of uses for this, and I like it because I have never heard of something like this before.
All in all, this converter is free, it supports several modes, and it works well.
